Dr. Iyad Obeid (Associate Professor), PhD
Principal Investigator
Dr. Iyad Obeid is an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Temple University College of Engineering, and is jointly appointed to the Department of Bioengineering. He is also co-Director of the Neural Engineering Data Consortium. His main expertise is in brain machine interfaces and how they work. In addition, he has extensive knowledge on digital pathology and machine learning.

Eduard Dragut is an Associate Professor for the Department of Computer and Information Science in the Temple University College of Science and Technology. Dr. Dragut's primary focuses include big-data analysis, large-scale information integration, web data management, and sentiment analysis.

Dr. Joseph Picone

Joseph Picone is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Temple University College of Engineering. He is one of the developers of the "Institute for Signal and Information Processing" (ISIP). Dr. Picone's main focuses are speech and signal processing.

Dr. Yuri Persidsky, MD, PhD

Yuri Persidsky is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, located at Temple University. Some of Dr. Persidsky's clinical interests include surgical pathology, Nephropathology, and the administration of clinical laboratories.
Dr. Nirag Jhala, MD

Nirag Jhala, MD is a Professor in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. In addition, he is the Director of Anatomic Pathology/Cytology at Temple University's Lewis Katz School of Medicine. Dr. Jhala's clinical interests include Gastrointestinal tract pathology, Endoscopically guided fine needle aspirates, refining diagnostic algorithms based on morphology, and translating and validating biomarkers.

Dr. Denise Connolly
Project Role: Co-Principal Investigator, Data Provider, Subject Matter Expert
Denise Connolly is an Associate Professor and Director in the Biosample Repository Facility at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Dr. Connolly has done extensive research on gynecologic malignancies, particularly ovarian cancer.
Dr. Hong Wu, PhD
Project Role: Co-Investigator, Subject Matter Expert
Hong Wu, MD is a Professor in the Department of Pathology and the Director of Dermatopathology at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Dr. Wu's clinical interests include skin pathology, particularly melanoma and lymphoma, along with other skin cancers.
