What is a Speech File?
The term
speech file
corresponds to any sound file containing human speech which is stored on
a computer in some binary representation. The image below shows the
spectrogram,
energy plot, and
waveform
for a speech file called speech.sph.
We will use this file throughout the tutorial as an example.
