5.5.2 Cross-Word CD Models: Triphone Training

Once the triphone models have been generated, they must be trained. Go to the directory:
    $ISIP_TUTORIAL/sections/s05/s05_05_p02/
From this directory, run the command:
    isip_recognize -param params_train.sof -list $ISIP_TUTORIAL/research/isip/databases/lists/identifiers_train.sof -verbose all

Open the parameter file params_train.sof. Notice that the context_mode is now CROSS_SYMBOL instead of SYMBOL_INTERNAL. This is because we are training cross-word context dependent models instead of word-internal models. The rest of the parameter file is the same as the word-internal parameter file. The next step is state-tying.
