• 632 syllables with finite duration models
• Baseline word internal triphone models (3 state infinite duration)

Making a simple change in the model topology

• Allowed skips states in the beginning of the model
• Allowed skips states at the end of the model
• 17 models (__i __and __the __uh __you __a __that __to __yeah __of __it __know __in __they __have __so __but)
• Did NOT train the skip transitions

WER for this system is 49.0%
