Guidelines for Preparing Camera-Ready Papers

The papers presented at ASRU97 will be included in a 6"x9" size bounded volume. The proceedings will be printed by photo-offset from the camera-ready copy you provided. Please adhere to the style specifications given below.

orange ball SIZE--each manuscript should be 6 to 8 pages (minimum 6 pages, maximum 8 pages). The text should be printed on normal good bond paper and the length should be 7 3/8 in for the first page and 7 5/8 in for the following pages. The text width should be 4 5/8 in. The top margin should not be less than 1.5 in.
orange ball TYPE STYLE--the first line of each Section and Subsection, as well as that of the Abstract should be indented 3/16 in (or 1~pica). All the other lines should be justified (flush left and flush right).The text should be typed single-space in 10pt Times Roman. DO NOT use all capital letters in paper or in section, and subsection titles. Numbering is required for each section and subsection.
orange ball ABSTRACT--the abstract should be typed 9pt Times Roman bold, at 0.3 in from both the Author and Affiliation field and the Introduction Section.
orange ball TITLES, HEADINGS, AND CAPTIONS
orange ball MAIN TITLE--the main title of the paper should be 14ptTimes Roman, all capitals and centered.
orange ball AUTHOR NAME(S) AND AFFILIATION(S)--the author name(s) should be 10pt Times Roman bold, initially capitalized. The affiliation should be placed directly under the corresponding name(s).
orange ball ABSTRACT TITLE--the word "Abstract" should appear at the beginning of the abstract text, indented, bold.
orange ball SECTION HEADINGS--section headings should be 12pt Times Roman bold, numbered, initially capitalized, flush left, one blank line before, one blank line after.
orange ball SUBSECTION HEADINGS--subsection headings should be 11pt Times Roman bold, numbered, initially capitalized, flush left.
orange ball SUBSUBSECTION HEADINGS--subsubsection headings should be at the same level of the text, boldface 10pt, flush left.
orange ball CAPTIONS--captions should be set in 10pt Times Roman and centered beneath the corresponding figure or table. Allow at least 1/2 line space above the caption to the illustration or table and 1 line below the caption to the text.
orange ball FIGURES AND TABLES--please position the figures and tables at the appropriate place within the paper. Please make sure that the font size in the figures and tables are legible, no smaller than 9 pt. For a better reproduction quality, you are encouraged to attach glossy prints of images rather than postscript prints from a laser printer. You should carefully paste your photos in the correct position.
orange ball ACKNOWLEDGMENTS--the Acknowledgment Section should appear after the paper body and before the References Section (or the Appendices), and treated as a regular Section.
orange ball APPENDICES--appendices, if any, should be placed right before the References Section and treated as regular Sections.
orange ball REFERENCES--the References Section should be the last Section of the paper. In the References Section, please introduce a blank line between items.In the text, the citations should have the form of a bracketed number e.g., [13], or [3,4], and should follow the IEEE citation styles, as illustrated in the sample paper.
Please mark using a pencil at the back of each page of the submitted camera-ready copy, the paper No and the page number.
