EVALUATION DESIGN
- Compare feature vectors extracted from frames
with the same content.
- Using forced alignments, 1000 frames of
each phone were found. This data was then segregated into a training and
testing set for the classifier.
- This simple classification quickly evaluates the most
fundamental concept of the front-end algorithms -- is there discriminatory
information in the features?
