BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION
Ann Bell
Director of Human Resources Management
Mississippi State University
ABSTRACT
New graduates in engineering will encounter one of the strongest
job markets ever, and one of the best overall compensation
packages in the history of engineering. In this talk,
we will review many popular forms of benefits and compensation,
including supermarket benefits, profit-sharing, stock options,
medical, dental, and life insurance, childcare, 401K's,
pension, paid time off, disability coverage, and non-compete clauses.
We will use MS State's compensation packages as a point of comparison,
and discuss future trends in benefits.
