DOCUMENT TEMPLATES AND SPECIFICATIONS
Learning to conform to format requirements is a very important part of techical/professional communications and a significant part of a customer-driven engineering process. There are, of course, numerous examples of excellent senior design projects and documents on-line from past semesters. Here are a few of my favorites:

You can use these projects as examples of the quality expected in terms of presentations, design documents and web sites. In addition, we have some other important resources:

• Design Document Examples: provides detailed examples (under development) for the design document, including samples from previous design documents.
  
  
• Design Document Guidelines: provides a detailed specification for the design document, including all relevant format requirements, font selections, etc. Deviations from this format must be approved by the instructor.
  
  
• Reference Format: provides a detailed specification for the proper format for many different types of references, including reports, URLs, and data sheets.
  
  
• Powerpoint Tricks: a very nice powerpoint presentation that demonstrates many of the impressive features of Powerpoint (in an engineering context).
  
  
• Presentation Outline: an html-based presentation outline.
  
  
• Prototype Web Site: a simple skeleton of a web site that you can download and use for your team's web site.
