ICASSP 2012 in Kyoto, Japan

ICASSP 2012 We presented our first paper based on our recent work on Dirichlet processes. The goal of this work is to replace conventional hidden Markov model based acoustic models with nonparametric Bayesian methods.

Kiyomizu-Dera Temple in Kyoto Of course, there are better reasons to go to Kyoto. From 1991 to 1993, we lived in Tsukuba, Japan while creating a research center for Texas Instruments. Kyoto is one of the great cities in the world, mixing amazing culture and history in a thriving, contemporary urban landscape. Enjoy some of our fond memories of life in Japan.

Crazy Joe Rides Again!

After a brief hiatus as an administrator, Crazy Joe is back where he belongs. Over the next month you will notice some major changes to the ISIP web site, the first significant changes in many years. One thing that never changes is our commitment to open source tools.

First, the publications directory has been rebuilt based on an open source bibliography tool called Mendeley. Second, the top level portions of the site are being ported to an open source content management system called Drupal.

If you need help finding something during this period of construction, don't hesitate to contact us.
